Profile LinkedIn Marketing Strategy
By now I guess you have noticed LinkedIn has made a few changes to your profile page. It looks a little different. You may want to take a look at updating your profile to stay current. LinkedIn can be a powerful professional way to market yourself and your business.
It’s important to stay on top of the changes so that your contacts know who you are and what you can offer. It only takes a few minutes to make some minor changes to make you stand out and create a powerful impression.
3 Tips to Improve your Profile LinkedIn Marketing Strategy:
- Work on your Headline
- Summary Section
- Websites are no longer prominently displayed
The amount of information displayed in your top profile box has been reduced. Therefore some have chosen to utilize this section to create a headline. The headline section provides you with 120-characters to explain your brand. You can integrate key words into the headline as well. Some have chosen to just write your company name in this section, but you can really expand upon that and write more about your brand too.
Summary Section is much more prominent than before. It is important to note that now the summary section is above the fold. This section is much more important than ever to really explain your objectives, goals and accomplishments. The beginning of this section is particularly important and that should be reviewed. The first few sentences are very imperative.
Some of you may have also noticed that your website is no longer displayed on the front page making it more difficult for others to find you. Your website is now displayed in the contact card contact info section which must be clicked on to be displayed. So you may want to include your website in the first few sentences of the summary section. If you put a link in the summary section, it must be noted that it will not be a click-able link.
Updating your LinkedIn profile to stay abreast of the changes only takes a few minutes and it can create a better awarness about your brand. Sometimes a few tweaks can make all the difference.
